Community musical events scheduled in Deurne and Nieuwegein

Several community-focused musical events are scheduled in the Netherlands to promote social connection and local engagement.

In Deurne, the community center Hofke van Marijke will host the first edition of ‘Zingo’ on October 24. The event features a musical bingo format with live performances by the cover band NOVA. Organizers aim to broaden the center’s appeal beyond its traditional senior demographic, targeting a wider age range to enhance neighborhood livability.

In Nieuwegein, the Buddy to Buddy organization is returning to theater DE KOM on October 28 with an open music café. The free event encourages participants to play instruments, sing, or listen to music together. The initiative is designed to foster connections between newcomers and local residents, using music as a universal language to build friendships and social integration.
