Community Nerf events organized for youth and fundraising

Various community organizations are hosting Nerf-themed events for youth to encourage social interaction and fundraising.

In Donnelly, Smoky River Family and Community Support Services is organizing a Nerf Wars event at Parc Regalo Park on August 17. Aimed at children aged six to 12, the event seeks to bring kids together to play in a park setting. The organizers intend to involve the local Royal Canadian Mounted Police to help children interact positively with first responders.

In Surrey, the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society is hosting a fundraiser on August 29 at Clayton Hills Golf Course and The Backyard Golf facilities. Organized by Phantom Dart Crew Events, the “Kids VS Firefighters” event features foam dart battles between children and local firefighters. The organizers aim to raise at least $5,000 through ticket sales and community support.
