Community of Madrid 2027 budget public investment healthcare funding housing guarantees

The Community of Madrid has unveiled its 2027 budget project, detailing significant investments across various sectors. In Arganda del Rey, over 24 million euros are earmarked for environmental recovery of the local lagoon, educational infrastructure at IES Eduardo Capa, and mental health center works.

Social and economic support includes 38.6 million euros for self-employed workers to cover sick leave and illness, plus 20 million euros to assist businesses in the Sierra Oeste region affected by wildfires. To facilitate housing access, a 50 million euro guarantee line will allow buyers of new builds to avoid upfront payments of up to 10% of the property price.

Healthcare receives substantial funding, with 26.1 million euros allocated to reduce surgical waiting lists and 12.1 billion euros for total health investment. The budget also includes 7.6 million euros for bullfighting affairs, including 3.5 million for renovations at the Las Ventas bullring.
