Community organizations in France host cultural outings for seniors

Various community organizations in France have organized excursion days for seniors to promote social connection and cultural discovery.

In Saint-Alexandre, the Bel Âge association organized a trip to Aigues-Mortes for 49 participants. The itinerary included a tour of the medieval fortified city and its ramparts, followed by a visit to the Camargue salt marshes via a small train to learn about local salt production.

In Lutzelhouse, the CCAS organized an outing for approximately forty seniors centered around local food products. The group visited the Confitures du Climont museum in Maisonsgoutte to observe jam-making workshops and later visited the Maison du Distillateur Meyer’s in Châtenois to learn about the history and production of spirits and Alsatian whisky.
