Community park infrastructure upgrades in Slovenia and Croatia
Local community spaces are undergoing improvements through new recreational infrastructure. In Slovenia, the addition of basketball courts to a renovated local park has transformed the area into a multi-generational social hub. The courts are utilized by retirees for morning exercise, young families with children, teenagers for social gatherings, and adults for evening recreation.
In Croatia, construction has begun on a new children's playground in Striježice Park. The Municipality of Župa dubrovačka has contracted Adriatik građenje for the project, which is valued at 155,000 euros. The funding is provided by the municipality and the Ministry of Demography and Migration. The project aims to replace the existing playground with a larger, safer, and more functional space featuring modern equipment and anti-stress flooring. Works are expected to be completed within three months.
