Community programs offer parenting workshops in the US and Mexico
Various community and religious organizations are launching programs to support parents in child development and education.
In the United States, the Centro para Familias Hispanas, in collaboration with Wake County Smart Start, is offering a free four-session virtual leadership program for parents of children aged 0 to 5. Starting October 6, the online classes via Zoom will cover topics such as child growth, behavior management, establishing routines, and parental self-care.
In Veracruz, Mexico, the Diocese of Veracruz is conducting a series of workshops through its Pastoral de Educación y Cultura. Led by Father Guillermo Arturo Ramírez, the 10-session program aims to provide parents with tools for reflection and accompaniment, emphasizing that the home is the primary environment for forming values and habits in children.
