Funesp ballet workshop to present spectacle in Campo Grande

More than 300 children and adolescents, aged 4 to 17, from the Funesp Public Ballet Workshop will perform the spectacle ‘Livro Encantado’ at the Glauce Rocha Theater on October 27 and 28. The performances are free and open to the public.

Inspired by a fantasy universe, the production features themes of fairies, elves, and Christmas tales. The event marks the culmination of months of training and discipline for the participants. Maicon Mommad, director-president of Funesp, noted that the initiative provides essential artistic access to children from remote communities who might otherwise lack such opportunities.

Established in 2017 with two centers, the Funesp Public Ballet Workshop has expanded to serve over 400 students across ten locations in five regions of Campo Grande, utilizing dance as a tool for social inclusion and education.
