Community projects promote physical activity and traditional play in Brazil

In Nova Itamarati, a district of Ponta Porã, the 'Brincando sem Wi-Fi' project is working to reconnect generations through traditional games. Founded by physical education teacher Wisley Junior, the initiative encourages children and adults to engage in activities away from digital screens. The project's first edition at a kart cross track brought together approximately 250 children and their families to participate in activities such as kite flying and traditional games.

In Volta Redonda, the Monteiro Lobato Municipal Early Childhood Education Center (CMEI) celebrated its 30th anniversary with the first 'Caminhada e Corrida da Ritinha'. Organized in partnership with Projeto Camisa 10, the event drew about 120 participants, including children and adults. The walk and run aimed to promote healthy habits and strengthen the connection between the school, families, and the local community.
