Community safety and social events scheduled in Mojácar and Ceuta

Mojácar will host a fire prevention and safety day on October 15 at Plaza Rey Alabez. Part of the 2026 Fire Prevention Week, the event includes workshops, safety recommendations, and emergency vehicle exhibitions. A highlight of the morning is the ‘Car Crash Show’ at 11:00, a simulated traffic accident involving the Guardia Civil, Local Police, Civil Protection, 061, Red Cross, and firefighters to demonstrate emergency coordination.

In Ceuta, the ‘Mochila para mayores’ event is scheduled for October 29 at the Jardines del Sarao. Organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the tradition aims to promote social interaction among approximately 600 seniors. Invitations can be collected starting October 22 at the Centro del Mayor, and shuttle buses will be provided on the day of the event.
