Community solidarity events held in A Illa and Berriozar

Various community solidarity events are taking place in Spain to support families facing serious illnesses.

In A Illa, the Carreirón 10k race is set to bring together over 300 athletes. Organized by the A Illa Sports Foundation and the local City Council, the event supports the Fundación Andrea, which assists families with children suffering from serious diseases. For every registration, one euro is donated to the foundation. Additionally, the Association of Mexilloeiros da Illa is hosting a ‘Mexillón solidario’ initiative, where proceeds from mussel sales will also benefit the foundation.

In Berriozar, the ADANO association is holding its biennial Solidarity Festival to raise funds and increase visibility for childhood cancer. The event features various activities, including workshops, concerts, and stands, aimed at supporting families affected by the disease. Cristina Delgado, president of ADANO, emphasized that the goal is to ensure families know the association is available to help them and to foster awareness within the community.
