Community solidarity events scheduled in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia

Various community-focused events are scheduled in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to promote social solidarity and environmental stewardship.

In Sarajevo, the fourth humanitarian bazaar, ‘Zajedno stvaramo ljepše sutra’, will take place in Pionirska dolina on September 12. Organized by KJKP ‘Park’, the event features unique handicrafts and products from several associations, including Ustanova Pazarić, Udruženje ‘Aldens’, and SOS Dječija sela BiH. The program includes children's activities such as puppet shows, workshops, and a zip line provided by the Mountain Rescue Service. Television Sarajevo will broadcast the first hour of the event live.

In Croatia, Zelena Istra is organizing an inclusive volunteer action at the Gregovica Social Garden on September 15. Participants will engage in regenerative horticulture tasks, including cleaning seeds, preparing garden beds, and building insect houses. The initiative emphasizes biodiversity and chemical-free gardening to support climate mitigation and groundwater protection. The project aims to foster social inclusion by welcoming volunteers of all ages and abilities.
