Community sporting events scheduled in Alicante and Gandia

Several community sporting events are scheduled in the Alicante and Valencia regions of Spain.

On September 27, the ‘Amb Bici per la Via Verda’ cycling event will take place along the Via Verda del Serpis. This non-competitive, 40-kilometer family route follows the former railway line known as the ‘Tren dels Anglesos’. Participants can start from Alcoi, Cocentaina, or Muro, with the route passing through Gaianes and Beniarrés before arriving in Vilallonga. The registration fee includes breakfast and return transport for cyclists and bicycles.

In Gandia, the first ‘Ruta 091’ solidarity race organized by the National Police will be held on September 19. The 5-kilometer event, which allows for both running and walking, aims to benefit Càritas Interparroquial de Gandia. The course will traverse the city's historic center, starting and ending near the National Police station. The event includes children's races and is designed to foster closer ties between security forces and the local community.
