Community summer programs feature nature labs and racing

Various summer holiday programs are being offered in Germany, including nature education and community racing events.

In Ilvesheim, the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe will host the ÖKOMOBIL on September 11, 2026. This mobile nature laboratory allows children aged 8 and older to explore local flora and fauna using tools such as magnifying glasses, binoculars, and soil analysis equipment. The solar-powered vehicle features a heated interior for scientific observation and documentation.

In St. Martin, the Carrera racing track located within the church nave has been extended due to high visitor interest. As part of the Manifesta +16 Ruhr project, the digital tracks offer over 54 meters of racing space. The event aims to use the church as an open meeting place for the local community, culminating in the Martins-Cup competition on August 22, 2026.
