Community summer programs for children hosted in France

Various community and charitable organizations in France are hosting summer programs for children aged 6 to 12.

In the Narbonnais region, the Club Loisir et nature de la lagune, in collaboration with the Bateauthèque de Bages, is organizing a multi-activity camp themed after the television show ‘Fort Boyard’ from August 17 to 21, 2026. The program includes challenges, sailing, canoeing, fishing, and solar cooking, designed to encourage outdoor collective adventure and cooperation.

Additionally, the Secours populaire is organizing a ‘Day for those Forgotten by Vacations’ on August 20 at the AquaForest nature park in the Cévennes. This initiative aims to provide access to leisure for families who cannot afford holidays, noting that one in three children does not go on vacation. The day includes cultural visits, organic picnics, and outdoor activities such as tree climbing and water sports.
