Community summer traditions celebrated in Maple Creek and Boulder

Maple Creek Community Swimming Pool held its final event of the season, the ‘Last Splash Bash in Cowtown’, on a Sunday. The celebration featured a costumed character known as DJ Moo, who interacted with children and posed for photos. Pool supervisor Olivia Bircham noted that despite cool weather, the event saw many regular visitors and praised the staff for a successful summer season.

In Boulder, Colorado, Boulder Creek remains a central summer destination for tubing and kayaking. The area features the Boulder Creek Whitewater Park, where experienced paddlers navigate various water features. The community also celebrates the annual ‘Tube to Work Day’, an unconventional event where participants float through the creek in business attire. Local authorities remind visitors that water conditions, including depth and speed, can change rapidly due to snowmelt or rainfall.
