Community Support Fund organizes environmental education event in Campo Grande

The Community Support Fund (FAC) is hosting a ‘Field Day’ event focused on environmental education in Campo Grande. Held at the Urban Agriculture Technical Unit (UTA) in the Vilas Boas neighborhood, the pedagogical activity involves guests and fourth-grade students from the Professor José de Souza Municipal School.

The program emphasizes practical learning regarding sustainability, proper waste disposal, agroecological compost production, and vegetable cultivation. Topics include food security, sustainable development, urban agriculture, circular economy, and local biodiversity preservation, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition to environmental studies, the event includes a holiday culinary workshop where participants learn to prepare cupcakes and red velvet cake. FAC President Adir Diniz described the initiative as a multidisciplinary practical lesson designed to be engaging for all ages.
