Community support initiatives launched in Recco and Rimini

In Italy, new community and healthcare initiatives have been launched to support families. The Golfo Paradiso Family Center in Recco provides a space for families with children aged 0 to 6, as well as expectant and new parents. The center offers expert meetings, workshops, and an information desk to connect residents with local services. Activities include creative, musical, and educational sessions held throughout the Golfo Paradiso municipalities.

In Rimini, the Infermi Hospital has inaugurated the ‘Butterfly Garden’ to mark Baby Loss Awareness Day. Developed by the Ausl Romagna Women’s, Childhood, and Adolescence Health Department in collaboration with the association La Prima Coccola OdV, the green space serves as a memorial for perinatal loss. The garden features a tree where families can hang white butterflies bearing the names of their children, alongside a white bench intended for reflection and annual remembrance ceremonies.
