Community updates from gardening and Anglican life

Local community activities include gardening progress and charitable contributions in Bridgend. Gardeners have been managing willow hedges, planting various garlic varieties including Elephant Garlic, Maddock White, and Caulk White, and harvesting seasonal produce such as apples, raspberries, and Brussels sprouts. Produce, including apples and kale, was delivered to the Inch Plant Nursery to support three local food banks.

In religious news, Archbishop of Canterbury Sarah Mullally delivered a speech titled ‘Being the Church in Turbulent Times’ to the Porvoo Primates. Additionally, André Muller was ordained priest at Holy Trinity, Avonside, to serve the parishes of Avonside and Linwood-Aranui. The Cathedral is also hosting world premieres of three new sets of Evening Canticles by Chris Adams, Jeremy Woodside, and Sea-am Thompson.
