Community vocational workshops launched in Uruguay and El Salvador
Various community-led training initiatives are being implemented in Uruguay and El Salvador to foster local entrepreneurship and skill development.
In Salto, Uruguay, the Social Development Directorate is conducting free pizza-making workshops in local neighborhoods. Led by master pizzaiolo Luis Núñez, the program aims to provide vocational tools and create spaces for community exchange. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Salto Government, INDA, and the Northern Zonal Board.
In San Miguel, El Salvador, more than 400 women participated in a free piñata-making workshop. Organized as part of the ‘Sembrando Esperanza’ initiative by Deputy Reynaldo Carballo, the program focuses on providing participants with the skills necessary to start small businesses and generate income for their families.
