Community walks scheduled in Raposa and Porto

Various community events are scheduled in Portugal to promote health and solidarity. In Raposa, the Grupo Desportivo Raposense will host a ‘Caminhada Neon’ on October 17. The event offers two routes, ranging from 4 to 12 kilometers, and includes musical entertainment, aerobic classes, and participant kits containing apparel and refreshments.

Additionally, the Associação Portuguesa de Leucemias e Linfomas (APLL) is organizing the ‘Caminhada das Pontes’ on September 26 in Porto. This 3.5 km solidarity walk aims to raise awareness for blood cancers, such as leukemia and multiple myeloma. The event starts at Ponte do Freixo and concludes at Horto das Virtudes, featuring a Zumba session. The APLL, founded in 2001, continues its mission of supporting patients and caregivers through various psychological and physical rehabilitation programs.
