In Belgium, the city of Genk is preparing for World Cleanup Day on September 20, 2026. The initiative features local volunteer Dolores Morato, who conducts weekly cleanups in the Hoevenzavel area, and receives support from the football club KRC Genk. The club, represented by player Bryan Heynen, is joining the campaign to encourage citizens to keep the city clean and prevent littering.
