Community welfare initiatives in Chile and Mexico

In Copiapó, Chile, the National Service for the Specialized Protection of Children and Adolescents and the Renasci Corporation held a community event to promote adoption and foster care. The initiative, titled “What would you say to your child from the past?”, used a public telephone installation to encourage citizens to reflect on their own childhoods and the importance of providing safe, protective environments for children in need.

In Mexico, the Municipal Institute for Animal Protection (IMPA) of El Marqués participated in a professional exchange in Colombia to improve bee protection protocols. Collaborating with the Bogotá District Institute for Animal Protection and Welfare, IMPA staff visited bee clinics and rural apiaries to learn specialized veterinary care, nutritional rehabilitation, and relocation techniques. The exchange also included coordination training with Bogotá firefighters to enhance safe intervention and response to bee-related incidents.
