Como 1907 secures UEFA approval to host Champions League matches at home stadium

Como 1907 has secured UEFA approval to host its inaugural UEFA Champions League League Phase matches at its home ground, Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. The decision follows recent uncertainty regarding the stadium's suitability for European competition.

To meet UEFA requirements, the stadium underwent three months of renovation work over the summer, which included the complete reconstruction of one stand. This allowed the club to avoid relocating its home matches to alternative venues such as Udine or Reggio Emilia.

The club's Champions League schedule at the Sinigaglia includes matches against RB Leipzig on September 10, Manchester United on October 21, AEK Athens on November 24, and Paris Saint-Germain on January 20. Tickets for these home fixtures have already been released to the public.
