Como sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in €36m deal

Trevoh Chalobah has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to the Italian Serie A club Como. The 27-year-old defender, an England international, signed a five-year contract that runs until June 2031.

The deal is reported to be worth an initial €30 million (approximately £25 million), with potential add-ons bringing the total value up to €36 million (£31 million). Chelsea has also secured a sell-on clause as part of the agreement.

Chalobah, who joined Chelsea's academy at age eight and made over 150 appearances for the club, will reunite with former Chelsea teammate and current Como manager Cesc Fàbregas. The move comes as Como prepares for its first Champions League campaign. Fàbregas described Chalobah as a "leader who can raise the level of the team," while Chalobah expressed excitement about joining the "ambitious, rising project."
