Como defeats Manchester United 4-1 in Champions League

Como 1907 secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Manchester United in their UEFA Champions League league phase match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Nico Paz led the performance for the Italian side, scoring two goals and providing an assist, earning a spot in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week.

Following the heavy defeat, Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick faced internal tension with captain Bruno Fernandes regarding tactical decisions and pressing intensity. The club has reportedly granted the squad an unexpected day of rest on October 22 following their return to Manchester, with players expected to resume training on October 23.

Carrick, who led the team to a third-place Premier League finish last season, faces scrutiny as the club has failed to win any of its last seven matches. Manchester United is scheduled to play Bournemouth at Old Trafford on October 25.
