Italy regional economic and employment updates

Various economic and social initiatives are being implemented across Italy, with a significant focus on the Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) region. In FVG, Confidimprese has guaranteed over 115 million euros in bank loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the first half of 2026. Additionally, regional contributions through Cata Fvg have helped the local craftsmanship sector attract 187.2 million euros in private investment over the last five years.

Employment support is also a priority. FVG is offering a 2,500 euro grant for employers hiring unemployed individuals over the age of 60. Upcoming job events include a Recruiting Day in Udine for Benefit companies and a large Job Day at Città Fiera featuring 19 companies and 90 job opportunities.

Other regional developments include a public administration job day in Como, permanent hiring opportunities at the Lazio Regional Council in Rome, and various social awareness initiatives, such as the ‘Mese dell’Affido’ in Livorno to promote foster care.
