Como launches August cultural program with stargazing at Castel Baradello and cathedral music series

On Monday, 10 August, the historic Castel Baradello in Como will open for a special evening to celebrate the San Lorenzo meteor shower. The guided tour starts at 21:30 from Piazza Camerlata, includes a walk along the Santa Brigida path, and offers visitors the chance to watch the sky from the castle walls and tower terraces. Admission costs €20 for adults, €10 for children aged 6‑14, and is free for children under five; participants are advised to bring a torch and a blanket.

From 6 to 14 August, the city’s summer cultural agenda features the "Firmamento Musicale" series at the Como Cathedral. Organized by the cathedral’s musical chapel, the program presents organ and sacred music concerts, masses, and a tribute to centenarian composer Aldo Ghedin. Performances include trumpet soloist Francesco Tamiati and organist Emanuele Carlo Vianelli, with repertoire ranging from Handel and Bach to Dvořák and local composers.
