Como President reveals Fabrizio Romano's role in Martin Baturina transfer

Como President Mirvan Suvarso has revealed that the transfer of Croatian midfielder Martin Baturina from Dinamo Zagreb was facilitated by a recommendation from journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Suvarso disclosed that while he was initially unfamiliar with the player, Romano suggested a meeting with the player's representative. Following the recommendation, the club's analytical team conducted a detailed study to ensure Baturina could adapt to Serie A. The assessment proved positive, leading to the signing.

The club had originally targeted Petar Sučić, but negotiations with Dinamo Zagreb collapsed due to agent commissions that nearly equaled the transfer fee. Although Baturina differs from the traditional number 8 profile the club initially sought, he has proven to be a successful fit for Cesc Fàbregas's tactical system, offering versatility in attacking roles.
