Como protesters demand approval of remigration law
On August 22, the Comitato Remigrazione e Riconquista organized a demonstration in Como, Italy, featuring a procession and banners along the lakefront. The protest aimed to demand the parliamentary approval of a remigration law that was submitted to Parliament on June 30 following a national mobilization.
Organizers stated that Como, like many Italian cities, is experiencing the negative effects of immigration, citing concerns over crime, violence, and urban decay. Salvatore Ferrara, the committee's vice president, emphasized that the group represents over 150,000 Italian signatories and will continue its activism until the proposal is discussed.
The committee expressed frustration with major political parties, including Fratelli d'Italia, Lega, and Forza Italia, claiming they have been too focused on election campaigns to address the legislative proposal. The group maintains that the proposed law is the only way to reclaim national control.
