Como signs Mattia Liberali for €6 million, outbidding Milan and Juventus

Italian Serie A side Como completed the transfer of 16‑year‑old midfielder Mattia Liberali from Catanzaro by paying the player's €6 million release clause. The five‑year contract includes an annual salary of about €1 million plus bonuses. As part of the deal, Milan, which retained a 50 % future‑sale clause, will receive roughly €3 million.

Como's coach Cesc Fabregas played a key role in persuading Liberali, emphasizing a clear development path and the club's participation in the Champions League. The move follows interest from several Serie A clubs, including Milan, Juventus, Bologna and Sassuolo, but Liberali chose Como for the project offered.
