Comodoro Rivadavia and Coyhaique deepen sister‑city ties at International Book Fair

At the 23rd International Book Fair in Comodoro Rivadavia, intendente Othar Macharashvili met with Coyhaique mayor Carlos Gatica Villegas. The two officials reaffirmed a cooperation agreement that creates a cultural, sports and economic corridor between the Argentine and Chilean cities. They highlighted concrete actions such as joint book‑fair events, exchange programmes for entrepreneurs and artists, and plans for Coyhaique to host its own book fair later this year. The meeting also involved the municipal cultural secretary Liliana Peralta and Chile’s consul in Comodoro Rivadavia, Daniela Briones, underscoring the commitment to regional integration and shared development opportunities.
