Comodoro Rivadavia plans relocation for families displaced by Cerro Hermitte

The Municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia and the Chubut Government are advancing a housing solution for families from the El Marquesado and Los Tilos neighborhoods. These residents were forced to abandon their homes due to ground instability caused by the displacement of Cerro Hermitte.

The proposed urban development project involves the creation of 138 lots on the site of the former YPF warehouses. Technical reports from IATASA confirmed the instability of the affected area, serving as the basis for the relocation plan.

A key component of the initiative is to allow affected families to receive direct land titles. Bruno Hernández, Secretary of Territorial Planning, stated that municipal technical teams from Urban Planning and Surveying are working to ensure that property registration can be transferred directly to the residents to avoid administrative delays.
