Comodoro Rivadavia recovers illegally sold public land

The Municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia has recovered a public land lot in the Radio Estación neighborhood following the detection of an illegal real estate transaction. The Secretariat of Territorial Planning revoked the original adjudication after discovering that the land, which was assigned in 2022, had been sold between private individuals in violation of current regulations.

Bruno Hernández, the Secretary of Territorial Planning, stated that the administration will not allow public lands to be treated as illegal real estate businesses, emphasizing that these lots must serve social or housing purposes. Municipal regulations strictly prohibit the sale, rental, or transfer of adjudicated fiscal lots.

The local government announced plans to increase audits and inspections across various city neighborhoods to detect similar irregularities and ensure compliance with land-use laws.
