Comodoro Rivadavia requests gas tariff review from ENReGE

The Municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia has filed a formal complaint with the National Regulator for Gas and Electricity (ENReGE) regarding gas tariff calculations. The administration, led by Mayor Othar Macharashvili, is seeking transparency in variable charge calculations and verification of the 'Zona Fría' (Cold Zone) subsidy application.

Technical analysis of official tariff sheets revealed inconsistencies in the supply route assigned to the Chubut Sur subzone. While the supply is listed as originating from Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, and Chubut—with 0% participation from Neuquén—the calculation formula includes a cost of $23.74/m³ linked to the Neuquén–Salliqueló–Chubut Sur route.

Cintia Juárez, Secretary of Public Services and Concession Control, noted that the current structure effectively charges the region for freight originating from Neuquén despite local production. The disputed transport cost in Chubut Sur totals $50.74/m³, significantly higher than the $16.59/m³ rate applied to Santa Cruz Sur.
