Comodoro Rivadavia transitions bus service from Patagonia Argentina to SolBus after 50 years

After more than five decades of operating the urban bus network in Comodoro Rivadavia, Patagonia Argentina ended its service on 1 August. The municipal government announced that the concession would be taken over by SolBus, which began operating the routes the same day. Mayor Othar Macharashvili posted a farewell message thanking Patagonia’s workers, the Rossi family and the company’s partners for their long‑term contribution to the city’s public transport.

The change sparked a wave of local memes on social media, featuring singer Daniel Agostini humorously depicted as a bus driver for SolBus. Residents shared jokes and nostalgic tributes while awaiting the new service routes to start, highlighting both the community’s attachment to the historic operator and curiosity about the upcoming schedule under SolBus.
