Nico Paz to stay at Como for 2026‑27 season as Real Madrid retains buy‑back option

Real Madrid announced that Argentine midfielder Nico Paz will remain with Italian club Como for the 2026‑27 season, after the player asked for the continuation. The agreement, confirmed by both clubs and by Paz’s own Instagram statement, includes a unilateral buy‑back clause allowing Real Madrid to re‑sign him for the 2027‑28 season for €80 million.

Como paid €60 million for the remaining 50 % of Paz’s registration rights, bringing the total valuation of the deal to about €120 million. Paz, who featured for Argentina at the 2026 World Cup, said the move is “the best option for my career and for Real Madrid”. The deal also secures his role in Como’s upcoming Champions League campaign.

Multiple outlets (Reuters, club statements, and national sports media) reported the same terms, confirming that Real Madrid retains economic interest while allowing Paz to gain regular playing time in Serie B/Serie A.
