Comox Valley hosts Pride Festival and community events

The Comox Valley is hosting various community events, including the Comox Valley Pride Festival. The festival kicks off on August 28 with ‘Summer Pulse on the Plaza,’ a free, all-ages street party at the Comox Valley Art Gallery Plaza in downtown Courtenay. The event features live music from Devours, MeanBikini, and Queer As Funk, alongside comedic hosting by Patti Savard. Activities include art-making stations, screen printing, and a micro-exhibition.

Other regional activities include live jazz at 40 Knots Winery, an art exhibition titled ‘Super/Natural Creatures’ at the Campbell River Art Gallery, and various maritime-themed activities at the Maritime Heritage Centre. Local markets and music performances are also scheduled throughout the area.
