Compañía Minera San Gerónimo receives gender equality certification

Compañía Minera San Gerónimo (CMSG) has become the first mid-sized mining company in Chile to receive the ‘Sello Iguala Conciliación’ (Equality and Conciliation Seal). The distinction was awarded by the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality through the National Service for Women and Gender Equality (SernamEG).

The certification recognizes the company’s management system under the Chilean Standard NCh 3262:2021, which validates labor practices centered on equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and the reconciliation of work, family, and personal life. The achievement follows six years of continuous work and an external audit by Applus+.

Specific measures implemented by the company include merit-based selection and evaluation processes, co-responsibility initiatives, lactation rooms, and the design of specialized work clothing for pregnant individuals in collaboration with AIEP.
