Companies implement new occupational health and safety training programs

Various companies are implementing new occupational health and safety training programs to improve workplace standards.

At the Planta Las Luces facility in Chile, the Joint Committee for Hygiene and Safety, in collaboration with Eklipse, conducted a session focused on food hygiene in company dining areas. The initiative aimed to prevent cross-contamination by educating workers on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and establishing protocols for where PPE should be stored to avoid bringing contaminants into food consumption zones.

In another initiative, the company Teidagua has launched a safety and health programming series in observance of International Occupational Safety and Health Week. The program, themed ‘Act with safety, act now: return home safe every day’, includes dynamic workshops designed to help employees identify daily risks and adopt safer behaviors. Teidagua manager Braulio Domínguez stated that the company’s strategy aims to go beyond legal compliance by focusing on a culture of care and the implementation of ‘Life Saving Rules’ to promote safe conduct.
