COMPASS Pathways reports Q2 2026 loss amid clinical progress
Biotechnology company COMPASS Pathways reported Q2 2026 financial results showing a loss per share of $1.88, missing analyst estimates of a $0.39 loss. The company remains in a pre-revenue phase, reporting trailing twelve-month earnings of -$394.2 million through June 30, 2026.
Despite the earnings miss, the company is advancing its lead candidate, COMP360—a synthetic psilocybin formulation for treatment-resistant depression. The FDA has granted COMP360 a Breakthrough Therapy designation and a rolling submission request. COMPASS Pathways expects to submit its final New Drug Application (NDA) in Q4 2026, with a potential market launch in 2027.
At the Deutsche Bank 2026 Healthcare Summit, company executives noted that two Phase III trials have been completed with highly statistically significant results.
