Compensa reports seasonal peaks in school insurance claims

An analysis by insurer Compensa reveals significant seasonal fluctuations in school insurance claims. Claims reported in September are 79% higher than during the summer holiday months, a trend particularly notable among primary school students.

However, the highest volume of claims occurs during the spring. March is the peak month, accounting for 12% of all annual claims, which is approximately 25% higher than the autumn period. This spring surge is attributed to increased outdoor activity, including more time spent on playgrounds, sports fields, and bicycles.

Other age groups show different patterns: nursery-aged children see a peak in December, while teenagers and students experience a spike in January due to winter sports and holiday activities. Weekly data indicates that Mondays are the most frequent days for reporting claims, accounting for over 16% of total reports.
