Complexo da Maré police operation hits actor's home

Actor Marcos Henrique Jr., known as ‘Russão’, reported that his home in the Complexo da Maré community in Rio de Janeiro was struck by gunfire during a major police operation. The actor, who appeared in series such as ‘Arcanjo Renegado’, shared footage on social media showing bullet holes in his walls, a damaged bedroom window grate, and shell casings in the streets.

The Military Police operation, which targeted the ‘Terceiro Comando Puro’ (TCP) criminal faction, involved approximately 200 officers, armored vehicles, and aerial support. The confrontation resulted in three suspects killed, 12 arrests, and one teenager taken into custody. Injuries were reported among suspects, including two adolescents, and one police officer.

Authorities seized 12 rifles, eight pistols, grenades, ammunition, and approximately 83 kilograms of drugs. The security situation also disrupted local services, leading to the suspension of school activities and the temporary closure of primary healthcare units in the region.
