Complexo Hospitalar de Barcarena collects 182 toys for community charity

The Complexo Hospitalar de Barcarena, managed by the Instituto Nacional de Desenvolvimento Social e Humano (INDSH), collected 182 toys during its ‘Treinão Pela Vida’ event. The initiative was held as part of the ‘Setembro Amarelo’ campaign, which focuses on mental health and the valuation of life.

Approximately 200 professionals from the hospital and the local community participated in the event. The donated items, including dolls, cars, games, balls, educational toys, and stuffed animals, will be used for special activities during Children's Day and the ‘Natal Solidário’ holiday season.

Diego Carlis, executive director of the hospital, stated that the initiative strengthens the institution's commitment to a culture of care that extends beyond medical assistance by promoting integration and solidarity among staff and the community. Organizational psychologist Lene Calandrini added that combining physical activity with collective care helps foster well-being and social bonds.
