Composer Michael Giacchino Confirms Return for The Batman Part II
Oscar‑winning composer Michael Giacchino said he expects to score Matt Reeves' sequel The Batman Part II, though a formal contract has not yet been signed. Giacchino told Screen Rant that his long‑standing friendship with Reeves makes his involvement almost certain, adding, “I don’t think there’s a world where Matt Reeves would allow me not to be involved.” Reeves acknowledged the news with a “100 %” reply and bat emojis.
The film, directed and co‑written by Reeves with Mattson Tomlin, will see Robert Pattinson reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Returning cast members include Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell and Jayme Lawson, while new additions feature Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch. Zoë Kravitz will not return as Catwoman. The sequel is slated for theatrical release on 18 February 2028.
