Compromís criticizes OACSE budget management in Benicarló
The Compromís municipal group in Benicarló has criticized the budget management of the Autonomous Body of Specialized Social Centers (OACSE). The criticism follows the approval of a new extrajudicial credit recognition amounting to 28,362.56 euros and a budget modification of nearly 380,000 euros.
Councilor Conxín Puchol stated that while the party supports necessary investments for the welfare of users and workers, it opposes the lack of planning and the repeated use of extrajudicial mechanisms. The group noted that the credit recognition includes 47 invoices for services such as pharmacy, food, cleaning, and maintenance, which were allegedly processed without following legal contracting procedures. Puchol emphasized that these are recurring needs that should be planned and contracted in advance rather than treated as exceptional, unpredictable expenses.
