Comrade Kalyan film collects Rs 2.8 crore in Telugu states

The film Comrade Kalyan, starring Sree Vishnu, has reportedly earned a share of Rs 2.8 crore across the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during its first two days of release.

Trade sources and distributors estimate that the film’s gross collections have exceeded Rs 5 crore. While the start is considered decent, industry experts suggest the film must maintain momentum in the coming days to ensure long-term box-office success. The project, produced by Kona Venkat, attempts to blend intense Naxalism with humor, a combination that has received a mixed response regarding the lead actor’s new persona.

Sree Vishnu, who has previously seen success in comedy films such as Samajavaragamana and Single, is currently working to build his standing in the industry following mixed results from previous projects like Mrithyunjay and Swag.
