Comrat celebrates 237 years of history and Gagauz culture

The city of Comrat, the capital of Gagauzia, is celebrating its 237th anniversary. The festivities highlight local traditions, culture, and the heritage of the region's inhabitants.

The celebrations include participation from international guests, including representatives from Galați, Romania, and Yalova, Turkey. These visitors emphasized the importance of cultural and educational cooperation, noting existing ties such as the presence of Dunărea de Jos University of Galați in the city and the sister-city relationship with Yalova.
