Comunitat Valenciana begins teacher recruitment exams

The Valencian Community has launched the selective process for entry into the teaching corps for Early Childhood and Primary Education. A total of 15,697 applicants are competing for 1,959 free entry positions, with the majority of vacancies located in the province of Valencia.

The first phase consists of two written exams scheduled for September 12 and 19. A significant change in this call is the decision to hold the exams in September, a measure agreed upon with trade unions to separate the selection process from the end of the school year. This shift aims to reduce the workload for teachers serving on tribunals during June and July and allows for better planning regarding vacancy assignments and service commissions.

For the first time, all tribunal members will be released from their regular teaching duties during the examination period to ensure greater dedication to evaluation tasks and improved homogeneity in the process. Seventy-two tribunals have been established across Alicante (23), Castelló (8), and Valencia (41). Exams will be held at various university venues, including the Universitat de València, Universitat Politècnica de València, Universitat Jaume I, and Universitat Miguel Hernández.
