Comuns sets December 1 deadline for traffic agent camera regulations

Political tension has escalated regarding the use of personal cameras by traffic agents. The Comuns party has set a deadline of December 1 to have regulatory frameworks in place, citing bureaucratic dysfunction within the Video Surveillance Commission. Proponents argue that these devices are essential tools for agent deterrence and evidence in high-tension situations, asserting that future regulations will strictly limit recording to specific incidents to protect privacy.

Critics, however, argue that the move bypasses necessary institutional procedures. They contend that the administration is attempting to implement technology before establishing the legal guarantees and oversight required to protect citizen rights. The debate centers on whether the government's delay justifies the political pressure to bypass the standard regulatory order.
