CONACEE highlights labor inclusion for deaf workers

In observance of International Week of Deaf People, the National Confederation of Special Employment Centers (CONACEE) is highlighting stories of labor inclusion for individuals with hearing impairments.

Araceli Pratdesaba, an administrative worker at the Integra CEE office in Barcelona, uses hearing aids to maintain autonomy and coordinate with teams. Similarly, Mayte Barroso works in Madrid as a support technician for other employees with disabilities, despite facing both degenerative hearing loss and visual impairment.

These cases illustrate how special employment centers provide spaces for independence and professional development for people with disabilities.
